About Mr. Silva

Jeff Silva comes to Ambassador after teaching for fifteen years in the public sector, thirteen of those years in the Walnut Valley Unified School District—both at the middle and high school levels. In that time, he has served as English Department chair, debate coach, and faculty advisor. Committed to students in and out of the classroom, he has challenged all of his students academically and intellectually by stressing critical thinking, thoughtful discussion, and writing. He teaches AP English Language and Composition and has been trained to teach IB English. Additionally, he has worked to develop leaders by advising the student government and teaching the speech and debate team the power of communication.

Jeff received his BA in English Literature from UC Irvine, his Professional Clear Credential from UC Davis, and his MA with emphasis in the Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Biola University. He is currently enrolled in the Biblical Counseling Program at The Master’s College where he is learning how to effectively disciple using God’s Word. He is a deacon at his church, is married to his wife Gwen, and helps raise their two children, Jaren and Allison.
